Position Summary
AirJoule is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the assembly team. AirJoule® technology dehumidifies air with record-breaking energy efficiency, and then converts it into pure water. This role will involve the assembly, testing and troubleshooting of AirJoule® mechanical components and systems. The Engineering Technician will also serve as a facility supervisor, ensuring a well-maintained facility for technicians, contractors, and vendors. This assignment will be located at AirJoule's facility in Schenectady, NY.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble parts and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, blueprint specifications and instruction.
Prepare layouts and drawings of the assembly process and of parts to be manufactured.
Perform calibration and adjustments using testing instruments.
Conduct product testing and record the results.
Perform final checks and adjustments for any defects to ensure high quality products.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Uphold a safe, respectful, collaborative, inclusive, and appreciative team environment.
Ensure the facility is secured daily and that alarm and access control systems are functioning properly.
Verify that contracted services (janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, trash removal) are being conducted as specified by each contract's terms.
Make minor repairs to the building and notify management of any major repairs needed.
Order supplies and minor purchase items necessary for the continued operation of the facility.
Retrieve mail, receive packages, and scan any important correspondences for routing to the proper AirJoule employee/contractor for processing.
Conduct periodic inventories of equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure stock levels and accountability.
Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering, assembly, or related field is a plus.
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing or related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience with mechanical systems, such as 'rigs', reactors, automotives, technical prototypes, etc., and assembly techniques.
Strong understanding of safety operations and requirements.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments.
Basic understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, fans, motors, and HVAC systems.
Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
'Can-do' attitude with passion towards acting as part of a team to enable the AirJoule vision.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of walking and standing.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
High level of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
