Job Description:

Position Summary:

Our client is looking for a dynamic project manager to join their team. The role is located in Kansas City, Kansas. The project manager is a key team member and helps manage the entire life cycle of projects. Our client is a leading masonry contractor serving commercial industries across the United States.

What you will do:
  • Collaborate with Operations Manager, General Superintendent, and field personnel to plan, control, and coordinate Division 4 projects from inception to completion, including staffing, management, supervision, and execution of all commercial contracts secured.
  • Ensure project and material compliance per plans and specs and review/prep drawings for transfer to Superintendent upon project launch.
  • Verify material, scaffolding, and equipment procurement.
  • Serves as point person for all internal and external project communications including General Contractor and customer relations.
  • Handles submittals, scheduling, resource allocation, change orders, reverse take-offs and quantity tracking,
  • Monitors % complete on projects for billing purposes.
  • Manages risk and identifies areas of improvement pursuant to safety programs and protocols while acting as a key member of the safety team.
  • Reviews jobs for manpower loading, adequate supervision, and QA/QC requirements.
  • Assists in the recruiting, training, and retention of key field personnel.
  • Verifies appropriate representative is present and/or attends job site meetings.
  • Ensures competition of contractual requirements for reporting (e.g., daily logs, manpower reports, meeting minutes, safety meetings, etc.).

What you bring:
  • 5+ years' experience in commercial construction (Division 4 Masonry preferred).
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge in Bluebeam, Excel, CAD and/or Tradesmen's is a plus.
