The Senior Civil Estimator is responsible for leading the preparation and coordination of detailed cost estimates for large-scale civil construction projects, including site development, infrastructure, and heavy civil works. This role requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and materials. The Senior Civil Estimator will work closely with project management, procurement, and operations teams to ensure accurate, competitive, and timely estimates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
5+ years of experience in estimating for civil construction projects, preference if background includes any mining projects.
Proficiency in estimating software (such as HCSS, HeavyBid, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex project plans and specifications.
Knowledge of local market conditions, material suppliers, and subcontractor networks.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach.
Proven track record of preparing accurate and competitive estimates for large-scale civil projects.
