The Supplier Quality Specialist will partner with the Quality Manager, Procurement, and Functional teams to drive quality improvements in the goods delivered to Freeport LNG by our suppliers. This position will be responsible for driving improvements through Quality Planning, Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Improvement. As a Supplier Quality Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the products and services supplied to our LNG operations. You will collaborate closely with our suppliers to uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our supply chain performance.
Location/Travel Information
This position is based at the Terminal Facilities, LQF or PTF, with travel to off-site locations as required. Travel to include Domestic and International as needed (40% to 60%). This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid, unexpired driver license and passport at all times in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
Duties/Responsibilities
Supplier Quality Management: • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers in the LNG field. • Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual agreements.
Quality Assurance: • Review supplier quality documentation, including quality plans, specifications, and inspection procedures. • Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure the integrity of materials, equipment, and services procured for LNG production.
Supplier Development: • Identify opportunities for supplier improvement and collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions. • Provide guidance and support to suppliers to enhance their quality management systems, manufacturing processes, and delivery performance.
Non-Conformance Management: • Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues in a timely manner. • Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence. • Manage the non-conformance process and ensure timely resolution of quality deviations.
Risk Management: • Assess supplier risk factors and develop risk mitigation strategies to safeguard supply chain integrity and continuity. • Monitor supplier performance metrics and proactively address any emerging risks or issues to minimize operational disruptions.
Continuous Improvement: • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supplier quality performance and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. • Utilize quality tools and methodologies to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process enhancements across the LNG value chain.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and Quality Assurance, to align on quality requirements and objectives. • Provide technical expertise and support to internal stakeholders to ensure effective supplier management and compliance.

Essential Functions
Minimum Qualification/Work Experience
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Minimum Experience: 5+ years' related experience in supplier quality management
Preferred Education: Associates Degree in Quality Management, or a related field.
Preferred Experience: 7+ years' related experience in supplier quality management, preferably in LNG sector.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and other relevant standards. • Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments. • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, such as root cause analysis, statistical process control, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams and external suppliers. • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and resolve quality issues. • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Willingness to travel 40%to 60% domestically and internationally
HSE Roles and Responsibilities
Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Actively participate in the HSE Management System Policies. Ensure that HSE concerns are given priority in all activities completed within their area of responsibility. Implement routine inspections to ensure safe operating conditions.

Work Environment • Operates in a professional office environment within or outside of an industrial plant environment. • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and filing cabinets. • Will frequently travel and visit manufacturing facilities.
