AGS Interactive, a leading iGaming company is seeking an experienced Platform Manager to join their team. The Platform Manager will be responsible for managing a remote software development team, with focus on maintaining a full suite of platform software delivering iGaming content to regulated markets worldwide. The ideal candidate will be based in Atlanta, Georgia with the flexibility to work both remotely and onsite as required.
Requirements:
Manage a remote software development team across multiple time zones.
Help to maintain and enhance the platform software, working with the business to conceptualize new features before architecting them.
Plan for and manage the transition away from monolithic architecture to Spring Boot based micro services.
Ensure the software is performing optimally and meeting regulatory requirements in all markets.
Collaborate with other departments, such as product development and compliance, to ensure successful delivery of new features and enhancements.
Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high uptime.
Develop and maintain a technical roadmap to ensure the platform remains competitive in the iGaming industry.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including upper management and external partners.
Skills/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Must Have - 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a management position.
Must Have - Strong technical background with experience in Java, RDBMS technology (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra), distributed in-memory database (e.g. Hazelcast), Spring Boot, Microservices.
Must Have - Experience with cloud-based deployments, particularly on AWS or Azure, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware.
Experience in iGaming industry or other regulated industries preferred.
Experience with React and Vert.x is a plus.
Excellent communication and leadership skills
