Responsible for procurement and negotiation of materials at Transpire Bio. Maintain overall plan and strategy for ensuring timely materials replenishment required to support the R&D, clinical, and eventual commercial demand. Must have GMP environment experience.
Essential Functions
Managing complex procurement projects across a wide range of procurement areas including responsibility for the strategic suppliers' performance
Establishing and developing procurement frameworks and processes including end-2-end contracting strategies through complete contracts lifecycle tracking and supplier performance management
Solving complex challenges through analysis and based on accurate identification of underlying factors/causes generate awareness of the impact of the proposed solutions outside the immediate area of responsibility
Negotiates terms and conditions for the acquisition of cGMP and non-GMP materials and equipment
Create and revise corporate procurement policies and procedures
Manage contracts, and organize & maintain a database of all company vendors across global offices
Partner with Supply Chain Team to implement an efficient product supply replenishment strategy.
Work with finance, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing team to find best vendors and distributors.
Develop and implement a strategy to manage inventory to target levels.
Participate in the development, revision and accuracy of production plans.
Determine key KPIs, track KPI progress, and report KPI results.
Understand the end-to-end supply chain, capacities, lead times & bottlenecks to ensure an efficient plan.
Lead or participate in planning improvement projects.
Communicate with vendors regarding specs, prioritization, shipping discrepancies, etc.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Perform all tasks in compliance with cGMP guidelines.
Build and maintain great relationships with 3rd parties and internal stakeholders.
Identify purchasing bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner.
Create and/or update area standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations in consultation with Finance, Manufacturing, Facilities and Quality Assurance.

Education/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or similar Work Experience
8+ years of previous experience in a Procurement capacity
4+ years of supply chain management experience
Prefer new facility start-up experience / implementing ERP system
Must have GMP Supply Chain Experience
