They are looking for a Head of Purchasing at their state-of-the-art facility located in the Greater Phoenix area.
Successful candidates Must Have procurement experience within a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: • Work with the management team to set purchasing priorities and create plans to achieve goals. • Analyze supply chain trends and identify cost-saving opportunities. • Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their products and services, and select those that offer the best value. • Manage existing suppliers to ensure they meet contractual obligations and negotiate new competitive contracts. • Secure the necessary goods and services while obtaining the best possible prices and favorable terms. This includes creating purchase orders, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and laws. • Ensure all procurement activities comply with applicable regulations and internal company policies. • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, monitor key performance indicators, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement. • Ensure that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels to meet the organization's needs without overstocking. • Foster positive relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships and better negotiation outcomes. • Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, delegating tasks and ensuring the team meets their objectives. • Develop and implement a comprehensive cost-effective Procurement strategy for the different sub-categories, aligned with the company's business objectives. • Engage and partner with multinational client with globally recognized brand, to understand and integrate customer requirements into our procurement processes, fostering an even stronger and more collaborative partnership. • Implement and manage procurement practices that adhere to sustainability standards and support the company's environmental goals.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering; Master's degree preferred. • Significant work experience (10+ yrs.) in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. • Extensive experience in drafting and evaluating contracts, managing invoices, and negotiating contract terms. • Strong leadership and managerial expertise. • Exceptional multi-tasking and time-management abilities, with a strong capacity to prioritize tasks effectively. • Organized and detail oriented. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
