The Talent Development Manager reports to the Director of Talent Development and is responsible for developing our workforce to ensure they have the tools necessary to succeed. This dynamic individual will be the face of training initiatives at Athens Services, embodying an engaging and presentable persona that inspires learning and growth. They will collaborate with department heads, subject matter experts, and external training providers to identify training needs, design engaging training programs, and assess training effectiveness. Additionally, the Talent Development Manager will partner with other HR members to provide guidance and support on training initiatives that foster a culture of continuous enhancement and professional development.
Job Description:
Presentation
Serve as the primary representative for training initiatives, embodying a dynamic presence that engages and motivates employees during training sessions.
Design and facilitate interactive training programs that inspire enthusiasm for professional development among employees.
Create visually appealing and impactful training materials, including presentations, manuals, and multimedia visual aids, to enhance the learning experience.
Coordination
Coordinate training schedules and logistics, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of programs in a professional and engaging manner.
Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training needs specific to Athens Services.
Collaborate with external training providers, if necessary, to supplement internal training resources.
Training Development
Conduct regular needs assessments to identify gaps in skills and knowledge relevant to Athens Services and actively communicate these findings to stakeholders.
Collaborate with management to address performance issues and recommend suitable, engaging training interventions tailored to individual and team needs.
Utilize various training methodologies, such as workshops, on-the-job training, and e-learning, ensuring that these methods are delivered with enthusiasm and clarity to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, providing insightful reports that highlight successes and areas for improvement.
Guide organizational leaders on the training and development processes, providing them with the tools and knowledge to effectively support their teams.
Continuous Improvement
Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development, ensuring that training remains a key focus within the organization.
Continuously update and enhance training programs to align with Athens Services' evolving organizational needs.
Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and results within Athens Services.
Generate reports on training metrics and effectiveness for review by Athens Services' management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field (Master's preferred); professional certifications in learning and development or HR are a plus.
Minimum of five years in learning and development, talent, or organizational development; supervisory training experience highly desirable.
Proven ability to present information clearly and engagingly to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated skills in creating and delivering training presentations that captivate and inform participants.
Strong grasp of talent development and performance management best practices.
Proficient in instructional design, learning interventions, and training delivery.
Proven track record in designing and implementing effective learning programs.
Excellent presentation skills for conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
Strong project management, organizational, and time management abilities.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Leadership experience with a focus on team mentoring.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Willing to work extended hours, weekends, and travel locally as needed.
