Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Buyer with a minimum of 3 years in the aerospace industry to support purchasing and procurement functions on a short-term contract. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain principles, excellent negotiation skills, and a keen attention to detail. This role will focus on sourcing, negotiating, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and components in alignment with production schedules and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Source and procure aerospace materials, components, and services, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimize cost and meet quality requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams (production, engineering, quality assurance) to forecast demand and ensure on-time procurement.
Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing issues related to quality, delivery, and pricing.
Maintain accurate records of orders, contracts, and supplier interactions within ERP/MRP systems.
Evaluate and select new suppliers as needed to support production needs and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with all relevant aerospace regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience in the aerospace industry.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of aerospace regulations and quality standards.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Certifications in procurement or supply chain management, such as CPM or CPSM.
Contract Terms:
This is a temporary contract position with potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
