This company, a developer of advanced technology to better manage our power and utility resources, is looking for an RF Hardware Engineer. The company is experiencing healthy growth, with more and more communities turning to intelligent utility/power systems. They're making technologies, such as the smart grid, a reality. They need an engineer who can be a key player in bringing these to market.
Position Description
In this position, you'll design, test, and release board-level electronics through the full development life cycle (from definition and planning through production and release). You'll also promote investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities and ensure that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals. Specific responsibilities include:
Develop new products, support existing products and improve processes, specifically related to RF and communication design.
Lead RF circuit design from concept to production for low cost wireless communications product-line complete radio transceiver design and layout including RF pA, LNA, RF filters and matching, synthesizers, VCO's and mixers.
Conduct RF circuit measurements using laboratory spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.
Verify that designs meet requirements through analysis, simulation, and measurement. Compare results to theory and documents results.
Carry out field studies and system test activities
Provide design and project support in the areas of project leadership, regulation, reliability, and components selections.
Provide technical support to factory, service and other internal departments.
Coordinate and verify the work of support staff (technicians and CAD Designers).
Qualifications
BSEE/CE (MSEE preferred) with 5+ years of experience in board-level hardware design, specifically with RF circuits.
Good understanding of microwave theory, RF systems, and wireless communication systems. Specifically in areas such as:
- Transceiver/WiFi physical layer characterization (conducted and radiated)
- Troubleshooting Sensitivity degradation and Tx spurious
- FCC Certification
Experienced with advanced modeling and simulation.
Background in communication theory and digital signal processing is a plus.
Solid communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to work with other teams.
Compensation:
$115,000-125,000/year
TN and H1B sponsorship is available.
