A leading private equity real estate development firm specializing in the development of mid-rise multifamily projects are looking to appoint a Superintendent, to be responsible for overseeing the finishing phase of a mid-rise multifamily construction project based in Fort Lauderdale. Working closely with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and design teams - you will manage the installation and quality control of interior and exterior finishes, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the finishing phase of mid-rise multifamily projects, including drywall, painting, flooring, cabinetry, trim, tiling, and other architectural finishes.
Coordinate and manage the daily activities of subcontractors and tradespeople to ensure that all work is executed according to the construction schedule.
Ensure that the finishes align with design specifications, client expectations, and quality standards.
Monitor the progress of work, conduct regular site inspections, and perform quality control checks to identify and resolve any defects or rework issues.
Manage the timely delivery of materials, ensuring that they meet project requirements and standards.
Work closely with the Project Manager to update stakeholders on the status of the finishing phase and any issues or delays that may arise.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and company policies.
Troubleshoot and resolve construction challenges on-site, from materials issues to scheduling conflicts.
Participate in final walkthroughs and the handover process to ensure the project is delivered on time and meets or exceeds client expectations.
