UAS is seeking an experienced HR/Admin Manager to join our team in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources and administrative functions within UAS. This role requires strong expertise in employee relations, medical insurance, and compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Management
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts to attract and retain top talent.
Manage employee relations and provide guidance on HR issues to support a positive workplace culture.
Oversee performance management processes, including setting goals, conducting appraisals, and creating development plans.
Maintain HR policies, updating them as needed to ensure compliance and alignment with best practices.
Medical Insurance and Benefits Administration
Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees on benefits-related inquiries.
Manage medical insurance renewals and negotiate with insurance providers to secure competitive rates.
Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and submit required reports.
Compliance and Legal
Ensure HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws.
Lead initiatives to uphold workplace safety and ethics standards per regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular audits of HR and administrative processes to maintain compliance.
Collaborate with legal counsel as needed to address compliance issues or handle complex employee matters.
Administrative Management
Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
Manage office supplies, vendor relationships, and facilities maintenance as needed.
Coordinate employee events, meetings, and training sessions.
Develop and implement administrative policies to support operational efficiency.
Reporting and Data Management
Maintain HR databases and ensure data accuracy and security.
Generate reports for management on key HR metrics, such as turnover, retention, and benefits usage.
Monitor and analyze trends to recommend improvements to HR programs and processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; a Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.
Atleast 5 years of experience in HR management, with a focus on benefits administration and compliance.
Proven knowledge of medical insurance administration, including policy renewals, negotiations, and healthcare regulations compliance.
Strong understanding of U.S. labor laws and HR compliance requirements at federal, state, and local levels.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
