The Billing Assistant/ Administrative Assistant is someone who enjoys setting up customer accounts, ability to create and deliver accurate customer invoices and statements, monitor outstanding balances to ensure accounts are paid on time, and verify customer account information is current and correct.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with customer account set up
Generate and deliver customer invoices and account statements
Ensure accurate recording and collection of sales tax, where applicable, across multiple jurisdictions
Respond and resolve customer billing issues
Follow up on and collect outstanding customer balances
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger and assist in preparing detailed accounts receivable status
Helps maintain customer accounts, files and records, including various customer portals
Professionally interact with internal and external customers
Route internal and external calls with providing a white glove communication experience
Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
Must pass pre-employment screening that includes background, drug testing and motor vehicle report. Participate in random UA testing program
Occasionally required to lift or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds
Position requires working in indoors in a professional office atmosphere sitting for long periods of time
Not a safety sensitive position
In office not remote.
Minimum Qualifications:
Detailed oriented completing task accurately
Ability to maintain confidentiality working with sensitive, difficult and confidential issues
Excellent time and project management skill/experience balancing multiple and competing deadlines
Ability to demonstrate superior customer service skills and overall understanding billing
Communicate in person, by phone, via email and using Office Suite programs
Ability to read English, comprehend and carry out instructions
Must be able to work with a team, and independently as required

This position does not have supervisory requirements
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with some overtime requirements
Travel
No travel requirements are expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Two to four years of billing experience and/or SAGE 300 CRE experience preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office products, Adobe, Sage, and Smartsheets preferred.
