Required Education: • Bachelors/associate degree
Required Certification: • Agile Product Owner certification or equivalent preferred
Required Skills: • Must have 2+ years of product ownership experience and 6+ years of experience in information technology; prefer experience developing applications on the Ansible Automation Platform or some other Infrastructure as Code platform
Preferred Skills (Need at least 2 out of three): • Prefer experience developing applications on the Ansible Automation Platform or some other Infrastructure as a Code platform • Experience in Windows/Linux/Open Shift Infrastructure administration and management is preferred • Fluency with JIRA is preferred
Top 3 technical skills (In order of preference) • Project Management Experience • Agile Experience • Ability to effectively communicate across platforms and functionalities
The Product Owner will lead the team to manage the product platform including but not limited to, working with key stakeholders to define the product vision, product roadmap, release plan, and backlog, maintaining product-specific project plans, negotiating product feature requirements, ensuring product quality and information security requirements, turning requirements into overall system design, coordinating product software releases, and resolving product defects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Prioritize backlog of custom configuration requests • Meet regularly with business partners • Communicate business needs to the team • Assist Business Analyst with refining stories and updates to stakeholders • Collaborate with the primary Product Owner on establishing the strategic vision, roadmap, and direction of a product team defined as a set of capabilities and associated applications
Examples of daily Job Duties: • Backlog Management: Prioritize and refine the backlog by collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that the most critical tasks align with business goals. This involves reviewing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and ensuring clarity for the teams. • Meeting Ceremonies: Participate in various team ceremonies, including daily stand-up meetings, with the teams to discuss progress, address any blockers, and adjust priorities as needed. This helps maintain momentum and ensures that everyone is aligned on the current objectives. • Stakeholder Communication: Engage with various stakeholder to gather feedback, understand their needs, and communicate updates on project status. This ensures that the infrastructure solutions being developed meet user requirements and expectations. • Performance Monitoring: Analyze system performance metrics and user feedback to identify areas for improvement. This may involve coordinating with technical teams to implement enhancements or troubleshoot issues, ensuring that the infrastructure remains robust and efficient.
