Job Description:

The Learning & Development Supervisor provides leadership, mentorship, direction and support to ensure the team facilitates learning and the development of each employee. This position will be instrumental in promoting purposeful growth and continuous improvement through employee education and development.

Duties:
  • Support and serve employees by fostering purposeful growth, promoting a culture of care, facilitating continual improvement, and being a passionate advocate for organizational betterment.
  • Work to create and maintain a shared vision, shared values, and an environment where employees can be fully involved in achieving departmental and company goals or objectives.
  • Promote the advancement of our employee education and development programs, processes, and systems to foster purposeful growth.
  • Oversee all activities related to the education and development of both new-hire and existing employees.
  • Serve as the administrator of the site's education records database or learning management system (LMS).
  • Assist all departments in identifying and implementing all learning and development needs to improve employee knowledge, skills, and performance.
  • Conduct assessments of our learning and development programs, processes, and systems to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in developing and analyzing various key performance indicators that drive continuous improvement of the site's learning and development programs, processes, and systems.
  • Coordinate and schedule educational courses and employee development activities as needed.

Requirements:
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in applicable field, preferred.
  • Five years of experience in an education-related position is desirable.
  • Industrial in a refinery, chemical plant or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Well-versed in learning and development needs assessments, process and program development, and methods and measures of adult learning.
  • Computer experience in Outlook, Word, Excel and database education programs (i.e. SAP SuccessFactors)
  • Organized and capable of planning, scheduling and prioritizing learning and development activities.
  • Proven leaders capable of building an innovative team and driving organizational change.
