About the Role: The Operational Excellence (OpX) Engineer drives the Operational Excellence initiatives (programs & projects). The OpX Engineer assists in the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the production process with a focus on Lean Principles. He/she aims to sustainably develop and implement World Class Operations capabilities and best practices in the factory together with the production team.
Responsibilities:
Resolving safety, environmental, and ergonomics issues
Troubleshooting and programming robots
Process improvements and optimization
Evaluation and implementation of employee suggestions
Development and implementation of new processes
Perform cost analyses and drive cost reductions
Continuous Improvement initiatives
Provide shop floor support and develop processes for new products
Perform Capacity studies
Qualifications:
Education Level- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Engineering
10 Years Of Relevant Experience in the Manufacturing Industry - Seasoned professional of developing and implementing Operational Excellence Initiatives
Six Sigma Green belt certification is a plus
Working knowledge of MRP (SAP a Plus) and Shop Floor Control systems (MES preferred)
Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing Change Agent
Supervisory experience a plus
Preferred Skills:
Drive the implementation of Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing change program for Operational Excellence. Monitor, report, and communicate the progress.
Develop, implement, and monitor the programs and projects management processes.
Prioritize and implement key improvement opportunities through identification of waste, inefficiencies, key process failures, and weaknesses through the Operations Value Chain.
Provide active support in rational problem-solving and performance improvement projects at all levels of the organization.
Identify, train, and coach in lean concepts.
Oversee a team of Kaizen Technicians and direct their work focused on driving quick frontline improvements.
Coordinate the training program, train, and coach local staff to develop people's competencies and organization capabilities on World Class Operations & Lean best practices.
Actively create a culture in which Continuous Improvement becomes organizational values.
Provide active support to develop and maintain key process documentation to translate tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge, elaborate standard operating procedures and guidelines, and share best practices.
Understand basic concepts of Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE). Analyze the OEE and downtime data and translate this into useful reports for production and maintenance. Make Pareto analysis and define improvement projects based on the downtime report.
Identify opportunities for capital projects for process improvement and automation.
