We are seeking a talented LEAN Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for LEAN Manufacturing. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement improvements, streamline operations, and drive innovation in our manufacturing processes.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop overall roadmap for implementation of comprehensive LEAN program and lead the systematic implementation of the program.
Lead, coach, and train organization on the use and adaptation of Lean methodology (ex. Hoskin VSMs, Kaizen events, 6 Sigma, etc.) tools and other problem- solving techniques.
Partner with functional leaders to assess (VSM) current processes and identify process improvement opportunities, execute action plans, follow-up and assure achievement of enterprise goals.
Define and implement the transformation plan for process improvements at the site.
Facilitate plant wide Kaizen events that are aligned with the facility's 3-5-year plan.
Standardize training documents, audit forms and other tools.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge through outstanding lean manufacturing benchmarking and personal growth and development.
Lead, provide, and drive the application of Lean Principles and Methods in all aspects of the business, including potential supply chain partners.,
Drive teams toward improved waste elimination, in manufacturing and business processes.
Work with leadership to identify opportunities
Develop & maintain a LEAN Program Calendar system to plan, support and execute events including the follow-up on open.
Lead and coach Managers and Supervisors in the daily review of KPIs, accountability charts and GEMBA developing clear and specific cadence at each level of organization
Collaborate with various internal departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training, and education on LEAN matters
Work with Supply Chain and quality to drive Lean methodology through the entire supply chain.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Engineering, to drive alignment and achieve shared objectives.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or equivalent engineering discipline preferred.
At least 8 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment, preferably a highly automated operation.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in implementing LEAN Manufacturing principles in a dedicated Lean role while working in a manufacturing environment, inclusive of
Experience working with the TPS principles.
Coaching/Mentoring experience.
Proficiency in Lean manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement tools, including GEMBA, MMF, CCF, Standard Work, 5S, TPM, Kaizen, Strategy Deployment, Visual, Process control.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
