Job Description:

A industry leader in luxury home and bathroom products, with a strong presence in both physical retail and e-commerce are looking to hire a Category Manager to drive product category growth, especially in the digital space. As the Category Manager you will take ownership of key product categories, with a digital-first focus. This role centers on accelerating our e-commerce presence, optimizing digital strategies, and driving sales on platforms like Amazon, Home Depot, and there own DTC websites. You will be a key player in shaping the product offerings, go-to-market strategies, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

E-commerce Growth Leadership:
  • Develop and implement category strategies to boost e-commerce sales and revenue.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to execute successful digital promotions and optimize product listings for increased conversions.
  • Lead digital pricing, promotions, and customer acquisition strategies on major e-commerce platforms.

Market Insights & Trends:
  • Conduct detailed market analysis to identify trends, shifts in consumer behavior, and competitive insights.
  • Identify gaps in the market and collaborate with product development teams to launch new, innovative products.

Product Lifecycle Management:
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from introductions to phase-outs, ensuring successful launches across online and offline channels.
  • Enhance product listings with optimized descriptions, high-quality imagery, and SEO strategies for better visibility.

Vendor & Partner Relations:
  • Manage and negotiate with vendors to ensure competitive pricing, quality standards, and on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to meet e-commerce and retail demand while optimizing for cost efficiency and profit margins.

Performance Analytics & Reporting:
  • Analyze key performance indicators such as sales metrics, conversion rates, inventory levels, and profit margins.
  • Provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to senior management.

Customer-Centric Product Management:
  • Drive strategies to optimize the digital shopping experience by addressing reviews, feedback, and post-purchase engagement.
  • Focus on improving customer satisfaction, ensuring a seamless journey from product discovery to delivery.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with supply chain, sales, and marketing teams to align category strategies with broader business goals.
  • Forecast demand and manage stock levels to meet customer expectations while minimizing excess inventory.

Experience & Expertise:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, E-commerce, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in category management, with a focus on luxury or durable goods in an e-commerce environment.
  • Proven track record in driving online growth and managing sales strategies on platforms like Amazon, Shopify, and DTC sites.
  • Strong background in e-commerce analytics, digital marketing (SEO, PPC), and product optimization.

Skills:
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into effective strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for vendor management.
  • Proficiency in category management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and e-commerce software platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, digital-first environment, managing multiple projects with competing priorities.
