As a member of the Demand Planning team, you will be responsible for analyzing historical data and identify current trends to build and present the unconstrained demand forecast to cross functional teams: Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Merchandising.
Your role will play an imperative piece of the Supply Chain business as your analysis and findings will have a direct impact on shipment forecasting, style and color forecasts, and the company's 3 Year Plan.
What you will do:
Prepare and facilitate monthly cross-functional demand forecast meetings with Sales, Finance, and Merchandising with focus on reaching consensus on final forecast.
Recommend style and color forecasts to Merchandising and Sales teams as well as Sourcing to secure capacity.
Provide analysis and follow through for business improvements related, but not limited to, shipping, inventory, sku efficiency, systems, and process.
Provide team with special reporting as required (i.e. 3 Year Plan, monthly demand for high volume/multiple delivery product lines, color blank requirements, forecast accuracy).
In addition to the primary role of developing and communicating the demand forecast, the Sr. Demand Planner is also a leader of his/hers/their peers and will be tasked with training others as well as special projects and process improvement opportunities.
How you will do it:
Utilize various qualitative and quantitative inputs to establish forecast for assigned product category. Analyze historical demand and current trends to inform future forecast and establish monthly seasonality.
Based on product Internal Use line forecast and additional statistical forecasting methods, prepare detailed forecast at style/color level.
Execute product line and style level forecast by loading data into current forecast software to ensure correct product mix for purchasing.
What success looks like:
A successful Senior Demand Planner can drive consensus on required forecast deliverables, identifying significant changes and outlining root cause for any variance. Executes forecasts in accordance with deliverable timelines to support Marketplace & Supply Chain processes.

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ years
Educational Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Demand Planning field or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Experience working in the Supply Chain industry
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work/communicate with all levels of the organization to reach consensus decisions
Ability to understand, assess and resolve problems by using technical and analytical skills
Proficient PC skills. Advanced Excel skills a must.
Exposure to SAP, IBM Cognos Analytics, and Brio query tool a plus
Exposure to Logility and/or APO forecasting software a plus
IBF Certification a plus
