MAU is hiring a Quality Control (QC) Inspector for our client in West Columbia, SC. As a Quality Control (QC) Inspector you will be responsible for ensuring that products, materials, or components meet specified quality standards and regulations. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information:
Monday to Thursday; 7:00 AM to 5:15 PM with potential overtime
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
10+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
5+ years of experience in quality control
General Requirements:
Proficient in Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) inspection methods and testing
Solid understanding of welding processes and weld symbols
Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in both fabrication and machining
Strong design knowledge, including techniques, tools, and principles for creating precise technical plans, tolerances, tolerance stack-ups, drawings, and models
Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to train, mentor, and develop team members
Preferred Requirements:
Associate's degree
Certification as a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)
3+ years of experience with ASME and AWS codes and standards
1+ year of welding experience
5+ years of experience in Welding/NDE Inspection
3+ years of experience with tight tolerance and geometric dimensional inspection
Experience with CMM; familiarity with Keyence systems is a plus
Essential Functions:
Apply ASME Code and quality standards, with experience in the Nuclear Industry or other quality-controlled environments like ISO 9001 or AS9100
Utilize expertise in manufacturing and fabrication processes, including ASME Code Section VIII and IX, B31.1, B31.3, AWS, and related standards
Interpret and ensure compliance with source documents, including drawings and dimensional requirements
Demonstrate advanced proficiency with CMMs, calipers, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Generate detailed QC reports and data analysis, providing actionable recommendations based on findings
Verify that quality inspection methods and associated tests are completed accurately and thoroughly
Potentially perform NDE activities, such as Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT)
