Major Duties: (This list may not include all the duties assigned.)
1. Greet all patients in a pleasant manner and conduct patient interviews.
2. Collect and verify insurance information and scan their current medical insurance card.
3. Update and confirm patient demographic information.
4. Check the patient in on the schedule in the patient management system.
5. Give the patient history forms to the patients to complete.
6. Communicate with the clinic personnel and inform patients when there are delays.
7. Request payments for co-pays and overdue balances upfront. Provide an explanation of charge should one be needed.
8. Receive cash, check, and credit card payments from patients and issue receipts.
9. Schedule appointments and give the patient an appointment confirmation.
10. Reconcile daily cash.
11. Participate with Business Office staff to seek account resolution.
12. Perform related work as requested. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player who will be the first point of contact for visitors at the office, greeting them in a polite and well-spoken manner. You will also be assigned duties as required (i.e. organization of inbound and outbound mail, administrative work, and general clerical support).
