Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Document Control Specialist for a contract position with a dynamic and growing upstream oil and gas company. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team and contribute to the management of critical documentation for ongoing acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have a background in upstream oil and gas experience, with a strong proficiency in SharePoint for document management. This hybrid role requires working 3 days per week in the office (located in the Memorial area of Houston) and 2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage document control for acquisitions, ensuring proper organization, tracking, and accessibility of project-related documentation.
Utilize SharePoint for efficient document storage, version control, and retrieval.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless document flow and adherence to compliance standards.
Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient document management system.
Ensure accurate documentation and audit trails for all project records.
Work alongside a part-time document control staff member to ensure smooth operations.
Support the development and continuous improvement of document control processes.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in document control within the upstream oil and gas industry.
Proficiency in SharePoint for document management.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Previous experience with acquisition-related document control is a plus.
