Our client is seeking an Inspector II who performs visual, surface plate layout, verify outside process, in-process, and final inspection of manufactured, purchased and assembled items, units or systems and packaging, packing and marking of units prior to shipment in accordance with drawing, planning, purchase order and or customer requirements. You should be a self-starter with ability to handle increasing responsibility and multiple takes with demonstrated attention to quality, detail, and accuracy.
Basic knowledge or ability to perform visual, surface plate layout, verify outside processes, in-process and final inspection of manufactured, purchased and assembled items, units or systems and packaging, packing and marking of units prior to shipment in accordance with drawing, planning, purchase order and/or customer requirements. Comprehension and accurate execution of quality assurance methods and procedures.
Complete inspection, work order, AS9102 1st Article and test records, reports, logs,
rejection reports and inputting quality data into ERP database.
Ability to use standard inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gage, thread gages, etc..), experience or efficiency with CMM-coordinate measuring machines is desirable, but not mandatory (target-goal to obtain level III)
Ability to read and interpret purchase orders/contracts, drawings, industry standards and specifications, comprehension and compliance to customer specifications and
requirements.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, adept with Trigonometry - GD&T.
Conduct inspections and tests of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished
products to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of test data.
Communicate inspection results to relevant personnel and departments.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying potential process improvements and making recommendations.
Participate in training and cross-training programs to develop and maintain knowledge of inspection techniques, quality control processes, and industry regulations.
Follow all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of quality control techniques and principles.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to use measuring instruments and test equipment.
Experience providing guidance and training to junior inspectors
