Portfolio Manager (Hybrid, Healthcare IT Projects)

Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to oversee and guide technology projects within a leading healthcare provider environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage both IT and data/AI portfolios, work with cross-functional teams, and lead large-scale projects in a hybrid work setting with occasional onsite meetings (2 days/week or as needed).
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee sub portfolios for IT and data governance, including risk and issue management.
Ensure project deliverables are met within scope, on time, and within budget.
Supervise and mentor project managers and staff to ensure successful project execution.
Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across business, clinical, and technical departments.
Maintain up-to-date project documentation and assist in continuous improvements of PMO processes.
Oversee the management and execution of healthcare technology solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
10+ years of post-collegiate professional experience, including 6+ years managing IT projects.
5+ years of coaching, mentoring, and supporting employees.
2+ years of implementing technology solutions in a healthcare provider setting.
Extensive experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Visio, Excel).
Strong skills in financial management, including forecasting and spend management.
Proven ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and build relationships.
Strong experience in managing data and AI projects (acquisition, modeling, deployment).
Prior hospital/healthcare experience preferred.
Desired Skills:
Experience with centralized PMO and project management principles.
Familiarity with data governance and AI project management.
Ability to lead and manage teams in a matrixed environment.
