We are looking for an assistant controller for our Finance Department in Dublin, Ohio. Our successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Controller in managing the overall financial operations of the company. This role will include managing and performing Accounts Payable, Payroll, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, preparing financial reports, assist in budget preparation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and enhance the profitability of Diamond Cellar while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of all accounting functions. Our successful candidate will be a motivated individual that excels in technical accounting, detail oriented, proactive and capable of managing financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist Controller with month-end closing processes
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis
Supervise month-end and daily reporting as well as general ledger reconciliation
Facilitate the annual audit providing data requests and responding to inquires related to areas managed
Implement and document internal controls, processes and routines in collaboration with Controller and company financial team
Review employee reimbursements and mileage
Oversee and manage account reconciliation and support of general ledger closing activities including reconciling cash accounts
Oversee and manage accounts payable processing
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll
Assist the CFO in Human Resource Procedures
Maintain the filing, organization, and confidentiality of all accounting records
Identify and communicate areas of improvement regarding operations to management
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the accounting team, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement while promoting processional development and career growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task to prioritize, meet deadlines, and demonstrate strong follow through
Ability to read and analyze financial reports
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools
Professionalism in appearance and conduct
Highest level of trust & confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication
Bachelor's degree in accounting or complimentary fields preferred
5+ years in accounting experience
