Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership in General Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis, owning the monthly financial close process and producing accurate, timely reporting in line with US GAAP standards. Oversee both short- and long-term financial planning and capital allocation.
Develop and manage Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet forecasts, supporting inventory strategy and management.
Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory standards through robust internal controls.
Accurately manage the general ledger, journal entries, and accounts receivable, ensuring thorough account reconciliation.
Analyze and reconcile asset and liability accounts for precise financial reporting.
Oversee periodic inventory balance checks to verify daily activity accuracy.
Collaborate on annual budget development and profit planning for the facility.
Lead and coordinate annual physical inventory counts with the Finance team.
Enforce adherence to key accounting controls and compliance protocols.
Collaborate with project managers to track capital projects and maintain the fixed assets and depreciation register.
Identify and implement process improvements for efficient reporting and workflow.
Oversee tax compliance, coordinating with state and local jurisdictions and managing required filings.
Serve as a resource and advisor for various business functions to ensure aligned financial and operational goals.
Work with finance and other departments to gather necessary data for successful role execution.
Support senior leadership with monthly and annual projects as needed.
Provide mentorship and professional development for the accounting and finance team.
Partner with FP&A, Data Analytics, and IT teams to support system enhancements and integrations.
Effectively manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines, prioritizing work accordingly.
Qualifications:
5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Thrive in fast-paced environments, with strong written/verbal communication, organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire and guide the accounting team, with technical accounting expertise and emotional intelligence.
