We are a leading private-equity backed distribution company looking for an Interim Controller for our team. Our company is poised for significant growth, so we are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to help us achieve our ambitious goals.
As the Interim Controller, you will be responsible for cleaning up and preparing compliant financial statements, providing high-quality financial reporting to the CFO, and establishing efficient and compliant month-end close processes. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can meet strict deadlines and drive improvements in our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee a large accounting and finance team of 15+ professionals, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Clean up and prepare accurate and compliant financial statements including providing financial reporting to the CFO and Investors.
Establish and improve processes for month-end close, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
Ensure all financial reporting meets regulatory requirements and company policies.
Assist with audits and ensure readiness for external reviews.
Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure robust internal controls and financial processes are in place.
Collaborate with other departments to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Controller or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a PE-backed company.
Experience overseeing large accounting and finance teams.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
CPA or MBA a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Compensation: Flexible depending on experience and qualifications Target pay range is from $100 - $145 per hour. Additionally, medical benefits will be provided.
