Harvard Resource Solutions was recently engaged in a new search for a Member Support Specialist on a contract basis for a convention service client located in Detroit, MI.

Location: Detroit, MI

Position

Our client is seeking a dedicated Member Support Specialist to join their team and ensure the accuracy and completeness of member profiles within their database. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directly contacting members to gather and update essential profile information, managing a backlog of profiles, and maintaining high data quality standards.

Duties for Member Service Specialist:
  • Member Outreach: Contact members via phone, email, or other communication channels to verify and update profile information, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Data Management: Utilize MS Excel to manage, track, and update member information, and organize data to support efficient reporting and analysis.
  • Profile Maintenance: Accurately input, update, and maintain member profile details in our system, adhering to data quality standards.
  • Backlog Management: Proactively work through a backlog of profiles needing updates, prioritizing based on project timelines and data importance.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create, maintain, and format documents in MS Word and Excel to support accurate data records, status updates, and project reporting.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies, ensure data integrity, and support broader data management initiatives.

Requirements for Member Service Specialist:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to manage existing documents.
  • Experience with using a CRM system a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and profile updates.
  • Excellent Communication Skills to interact effectively with members and internal teams.
  • Organizational Skills to manage multiple tasks and work through backlog efficiently.
  • Customer Service Orientation to provide a positive experience for members while gathering profile updates.
