Program Manager - Portfolio Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to oversee the implementation, enhancement, and support of Databricks as a platform. The ideal candidate will coordinate between cross-functional teams, manage infrastructure demands, and ensure that Databricks aligns with business goals and operational excellence.
Utilize insights to enhance project execution strategies, prioritizing initiatives that significantly impact operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Work closely with finance and other teams to develop and implement criteria for resource allocation, ensuring projects are prioritized based on their potential for delivering maximum strategic value.
8-10+ years industry experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other healthcare related field.
Experience leading broad organizational initiatives and working with cross-functional teams.
Project management experience on global projects.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Program Oversight: Lead end-to-end program management for Databricks platform initiatives, including platform setup, performance optimization, and integration with enterprise infrastructure.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment on business requirements and technical capabilities.
Infrastructure Coordination: Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to manage infrastructure needs, including cloud resource allocation, network configurations, and security protocols.
Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain program roadmaps, ensuring all projects align with business objectives and timelines.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to platform performance, scalability, and data security.
Budget and Resource Management: Monitor program budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure cost-efficiency.
Performance Metrics: Define and track KPIs to measure the success of Databricks deployments and ongoing operations.
Technical Collaboration: Work closely with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure optimal use of Databricks for data pipelines, machine learning, and real-time analytics.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure all platform activities adhere to regulatory, security, and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Experience:
8+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in data platforms or cloud infrastructure.
Proven track record managing Databricks or similar data platforms in an enterprise environment.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with Databricks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and big data infrastructure.
Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform).
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
