We are a small company looking for a talented and experienced Assistant Program Manager to guide our technical team as we expand our organization.
Description:
FlexSys is seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Assistant Program Manager. This role will support program management activities for cutting-edge engineering projects, assisting with project planning, resource coordination, schedule monitoring, and subcontractor communications. The Assistant Program Manager will play a vital role in ensuring project milestones are met and align with our commitment to quality, safety, and innovation in engineering.
Job Responsibilities:
Support Program Manager in the development, planning, and execution of engineering projects from concept to completion.
Assist with resource allocation, budget tracking, and schedule management to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.
Coordinate communications between internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements and updates.
Prepare project reports, presentations, and documentation to support project transparency and drive strategic decision-making.
Assist in managing risk assessments and mitigation plans, ensuring that quality and safety standards are consistently upheld.
Monitor project progress, identify issues, and recommend solutions to maintain the project on track.
Facilitate meetings, document action items, and follow up with stakeholders to support project continuity and accountability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
2+ years of experience in project management or program support, ideally within aerospace, engineering, or a related industry.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and experience with project tracking and reporting.
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
U.S. citizenship is required to satisfy DoD contract requirements
Highly Desirable Competencies:
PMP or similar certification is a plus but not required.
Experience in engineer drawings
Familiarity with PDR's and CDR's
