This role is to be a C14-equivalent Project Management Lead focused on a critical project within Risk's Data Analytics Reporting & Technology (DART) organization. The project is to support remediation of a long-standing MRA related to compliance with the OCC's BCBS 239 Standards. The role is responsible for overall day-to-day project management, including leading project team, engaging with project sponsor and senior stakeholders, managing overall project plan, addressing escalations, risk and issues, and maintaining compliance to Program Management Council requirements. Requires prior experience with leading cross-functional, regulatory-driven programs within Risk or Finance. A strong candidate will have the excellent communication skills required to present and negotiate at a senior level.
Responsibilities: • Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a project or portfolio of projects • Applies in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function; and, requires basic commercial awareness • Assesses creation and signoff of project plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log • Oversees project plans to meet business needs as described in the project initiation documents • Ensures all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand the project schedule and key milestones • Works with Project Sponsor to ensure business case cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives • Ensures all areas of the project are appropriately staffed • Monitors project commitment from those assigning resources • Escalates project risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate • Creates the project risk management plan • Works with procurement team to create, administer, track, and eventually close project contracts if applicable • Makes recommendations for training and development needs for assigned personnel • Directs area supported through responsibility for delivery of end results and shared responsibility for budget management, accountable for resource planning • Ensures essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications: • 15+ years of experience • Prior experience in Risk, Finance or Data/Technology preferred • Good knowledge of banking and trading products, Risk Analytics or Risk Data Management • Strong working knowledge on waterfall or agile methodologies • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Proficient in content creation for executive summary, senior management review packages • Highly organized, detail oriented, experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions • Excellent MS Office skills, specifically PowerPoint and Excel • PMP preferred but not required
Education: • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially master's degree
