Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Taking quotes/orders via phone call/email.
- Inputting orders into ERP.
- Setting up transfers and/or purchase orders to fill an order.
- Communicate with customer to find out desired time & date for pick up/delivery on projects.
- Coordinate deliveries between the customer and branch.
- Maintain communication with branch and dealer to make sure deadlines and expectations are met.
- Research and assist in sourcing new products as needed by dealers in the time frame they need it.
- Finding alternatives that will work if we aren't able to source new products for dealers.
- Assist branch in reviewing open orders to see if backorders have arrived to fill orders.
- Building new parts in ERP.
- Communicating new parts with Ecommerce/Pricing/Supply team as needed.
- Assisting in reviewing and communicating low/critical inventory levels upon discovery.
- Balancing inventory between branches as needed for projects based on current or future demand.
- Comparing pricing between vendors to get the best deal.
- Communicate and assist with any shortages or issues between branch and dealer.
- Update and communicate changes to existing products in DDI as needed. (Description, pricing, details, etc.)
- Transition and communicate existing products from non-stock to stock as demand increases.
- Maintain google doc and communicate items to be added or priced within ERP to Ecommerce/Pricing/Supply team as needed.
- Observe and communicate trends on pricing and sell costs as discovered on current market trends.
- Advise when new products added in ERP need to be added to existing contracts with vendors or customers.
- Keeping the company's best interest in mind when placing purchase orders, such as hitting PPD freight etc.
- Attempt to maintain integrity of spacing needed in DFW warehouses.
- Working with the team to find needed GP on jobs.
- Update an existing DDI quote sent by branch/TM to reflect "best options" on items for a customer. Example: Alternative motor that costs less
- Communicate and assist with any shortages, damages, or issues on deliveries from vendors or branches.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Analytical thought processing
- Expert skills in Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to negotiate
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing desk-related tasks.
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones
- Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents clearly
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and via phone
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 20 lbs
