Job Description:

1099 Contract Product Owner Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our lending platforms
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather high-level and detailed product requirements documents
  • Create and manage the product backlog, ensuring it's always up-to-date and properly prioritized
  • Collaborate with the team(s) to align priorities with overall strategy
  • Write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams
  • Work closely with Scrum teams to plan sprints and deliver high-quality product increments
  • Conduct regular product demos and gather feedback from stakeholders and users
  • Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to inform product decisions
  • Monitor and report on key product metrics and KPIs
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring our needs are met and future vision is planned for while managing costs
  • Understand and articulate the product vision internally and externally

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a SaaS environment
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven track record of delivering successful web-based software products
  • Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)
  • Ability to understand and translate complex technical concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in writing user stories and creating wireframes
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the fintech or lending industry
  • Familiarity with call center operations
  • Software development or design experience
  • Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools
  • Experience with user research and usability testing
  • Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., CSPO, PSM)

  • Leadership and ability to drive initiatives through the organization
  • Vendor management experience
  • Proficiency in scoping and prioritization of tasks
  • Understanding of software engineering processes
  • User experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design appreciation
  • Proactive problem-solving approach
