Mt. Holiday is undergoing transformational changes this season. We are searching for Board Member candidates (non-paid) who can add value in the non-profit sector across a variety of functional areas who are local to the Grand Traverse community and passionate for outdoor activities.
At Mt. Holiday, our mission is to foster community connection through accessible and affordable outdoor recreation throughout all four seasons. Guided by a steadfast commitment to our vision, we strive to develop a community-based, family-oriented, and year-round recreational facility with a special emphasis on supporting disadvantaged youth.
As a Board Member, you play a vital role in shaping the future of our organization and ensuring we continue to provide exceptional experiences for our community.
Board Members are volunteers and non-paid positions. Below, we outline some of the expectations and commitments required for this important role:
Board meeting attendance: attend at least 80% of the scheduled monthly board meetings.
Volunteer opportunities: actively participate in at least three volunteer activities or events annually.
Committee assignments: serve on at least one board committee, such as finance, fundraising, building and equipment, board development, programs, ad hoc bike and other events.
