What you will do
The Continuous Improvement Engineer is instrumental in enhancing plant operations by developing and implementing a robust continuous improvement program. This role focuses on optimizing operational efficiency, maintaining stringent quality assurance standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the plant.Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant international and industry-specific standards.
Develop and oversee the execution of the continuous improvement program to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
Monitor and collaborate with department leaders to optimize operational processes and implement best practices, targeting specific performance metrics such as cost of production, furnace energy efficiency, and furnace availability.
Plan and manage plant trials and projects in conjunction with the engineering and operations departments to ensure the quality metrics like the percentage of on-grade material and first-grade silicon produced are met.
Conduct risk management activities to ensure the continuity of production processes, focusing on reducing electrode defects and consumption rates.
Develop and facilitate training programs for employees to foster skill enhancement and productivity improvement, directly impacting DART rates and by-product generation rates.
Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and customer awareness throughout plant operations, aiming to reduce customer complaints and ensure compliance with the ISO9001 standards.
What we seek:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (process, Mechanical, Metallurgical).
Demonstrated experience with quality systems and process optimization is advantageous.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across various departments to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Six Sigma, Lean, 5S, or other continuous improvement training
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
