Job Description:

Duties of the Position:
  • Manage technical operations independently, applying specialized knowledge to support a key department function.
  • Research, compile, and analyze data for administrative projects; produce statistical and narrative reports.
  • Review documents for completeness and compliance, assessing information accuracy as needed.
  • Explain policies and respond to customer inquiries, interpreting regulations to clarify issues and resolve questions.
  • Support and coordinate complex team tasks, providing technical assistance and ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with team members to share information, identify issues, and propose solutions.
  • Research complex information requests, act as a resource for the public and other agencies on department programs and policies.
  • Oversee the work of other staff, assist in hiring, training, and evaluating team members.
  • Improve computer database files and design user-friendly reports for easier access to information.

Knowledge of:
  • Administrative and organizational analysis methods
  • Public administration principles
  • Business computer applications, especially for data and statistical analysis
  • Financial, statistical, and comparative analysis techniques
  • Basic budgeting principles

Skills in:
  • Analyzing and solving administrative and operational issues
  • Collecting, evaluating, and interpreting data (statistical and narrative)
  • Understanding and applying laws, regulations, and policies
  • Writing clear and concise reports
  • Keeping accurate records and files
  • Managing and supervising daily work of others
  • Coordinating multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Exercising independent judgment within guidelines
  • Building effective working relationships

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or a related field
  • Two years of experience in administration, management, operations, budget, or similar analysis
  • Relevant professional experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis
