Duties: Assists with the ongoing maintenance of the Environmental Management System (EMS) elements, periodic documentation reviews, and supports the waste management efforts such as monitoring waste collection, waste storage and waste disposal of materials as per Abbott / Federal, State & Local regulations.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in the EHS field, experience working within manufacturing industry preferred. Ability to navigate and interpret EMS standards and EHS regulations preferred.
Key Skills: Documents Management, Compliance and Reporting, Hazard Identification and Risk Management, Employee Engagement and Communication, reviewing polices & procedures, Excel proficient, EHS and OHS hands on experience is a plus
Preferred Experience: Ability to navigate and interpret EMS standards and EHS regulations, Able and willing to learn while on-the-job and effectively work on multiple assignments concurrently, Computer Skills - Proficient in using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer)
Education:. Minimum of an Associate degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field
