SENIOR BENEFITS SPECIALIST
Based in our NYC Corporate Office (not remote)
Serve as the main point of contact for all benefits inquiries, including health and wellness, enrollments, retirement, and voluntary benefits programs.
Assist with benchmarking analysis and monitoring of our current benefits programs to ensure plan effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
Audit and reconcile monthly benefits premiums against various reports to confirm billing and funding accuracy.
Assist with managing vendors and troubleshooting issues associated with retirement and benefits programs.
Develop educational material and deliver comprehensive benefits presentations to improve utilization and general understanding of company benefits.
Administer employees' benefit programs, including medical, dental, and vision plans, wellness programs, life insurance plans, voluntary and disability programs.
Provide regulatory and procedural guidance and support to managers and employees to ensure compliance as it relates to leave of absences and disability accommodation.
Assist with the annual enrollment process and communication strategy.
Conduct benefits training and new hire orientations.
Process and monitor workers' compensation claims and multi-state leave of absence, including Hawaii and Puerto Rico, with a third-party administrator.
Maintain employee benefits files and ensure benefits changes are properly implemented and aligned within both internal and external systems.
Effectively coordinate Federal and Statutory legislations with company-provided benefits.
Complete ad hoc reports and projects as directed by the Benefits Manager.
PERSONAL PROFILE
Minimum of 5 years of benefits administration experience.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of medical and voluntary benefits programs, 401(k) plans, FMLA, ERISA, ADA, ACA, FCRA, PFL, DBL, HIPAA.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated problem-solving and follow-through skills.
Ability to work in both a team situation and independently.
Knowledgeable in OSHA and workers' compensation policies.
Knowledgeable in multi-state leave benefits.
Knowledge of ADP Vantage.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
