We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our team in Kirkland, WA, in driving operational excellence within our water movement manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for managing and developing a team of engineers, optimizing manufacturing processes, and supporting the overall production of high-quality water movement solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in manufacturing engineering, a proven track record in leadership, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented environment. Provide clear guidance, set performance goals, and facilitate professional development.
Process Optimization: Oversee and drive the improvement of manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards. Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
Project Management: Manage multiple engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with production goals, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production teams to establish and maintain robust quality control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to meet manufacturing objectives, including capacity planning, technology upgrades, and workforce training.
New Product Integration: Oversee the smooth transition of new products from design to manufacturing, ensuring processes are optimized for scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Development, Supply Chain, and other departments to align engineering activities with broader company objectives.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze production data, and generate reports to provide insights into operational performance. Utilize data to inform decision-making and process improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
7-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
Proven track record in leading and developing engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment, particularly in the context of water movement systems or similar industries.
Proficiency with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies; Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and experience with ERP and manufacturing data analysis tools.
Excellent problem-solving, project management, and strategic planning skills.
Ability to work onsite in Kirkland, WA.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience with automated manufacturing systems and robotics.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and quality management systems within the water movement industry.
