What we are looking for?
Studio TK is looking for an ERP Engineer to join our systems engineering team. This position will be an integral part of new product launches, custom product requests, and ERP data control and reporting for the Clayton facility.
General Responsibilities
The ERP Engineer is responsible for maintaining product information in the ERP System (BAAN). This includes but is not limited to the creation and maintenance of part numbers, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and Routings. Additional responsibilities include accessing and quoting custom products requests via clients and developing reports.
This role will work directly with product development, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and other cross-function departments to interpret and structure engineering BOMs/routings into the ERP system. This role will create and institute comprehensive and accurate data for standard and custom product requests.
The right individual will be a self-motivated problem solver with impeccable attention to detail.
They also must be able to deliver results against established project timelines with minimal supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and maintain custom queries, reports, and dashboards
- Develop best practices and standards to optimize workflow and increase data accuracy
- Provide process documentation, training, coaching and continued support for ERP improvements and initiatives
- Support new product launches by developing product configurations within the ERP system (Item Master, BOMs, Constraints, Product Features, Routings) within the ERP system
- Review and interpret complex product configurations and engineering drawings to understand product construction and assembly as it relates to procurement and facility flow
- Test product configurations and combinations to confirm accuracy
- Perform BOM audits, root cause analysis, and resolve any discrepancies
- Fulfill custom product requests by building custom BOMs and Routings in a timely manner
- Quote custom product orders by interpreting material and labor costs
- Work with finance to maintain standard cost tools based on BOM and Routing updates
- Communicate and collaborate with customers/stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements for the ERP system and data reports
Skills Required:
- 3-5 years of experience in relevant field (manufacturing, engineering, etc)
- Minimum of 3 years of ERP experience
- Experience writing SQL queries or VBA script (basic knowledge)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (intermediate level or higher in Excel)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented and organized
- Strong time management skills: ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to work well both independently and with team members.
Preferred but not Required:
- Industrial or Systems Engineering degree
- Working knowledge of Google Apps (Sheets, Docs) and/or Lucid Charts
- BAAN IV or Infor LN ERP system knowledge
- Knowledge of product costing (material and labor)
