Mental Health Cooperative, Inc. (MHC) was formed in 1993 to serve individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Since then, we have expanded our services to children and adolescents with severe emotional disorders across Middle and East Tennessee.

Our sole purpose is to support and treat those challenged with serious mental illness and poverty. Although based out of Nashville, we serve several communities across middle and East Tennessee with satellite offices in Antioch, Gallatin, Dickson, Columbia, Cleveland, Murfreesboro, Clarksville, Cookeville, Chattanooga, and Memphis.

Project Manager II (on site)

JOB SUMMARY

The Project Manager II works on the PMO team to execute on projects, identify areas of opportunity for process improvement and supports and enforces PMO policies and standards. Will work cross-functionally to identify opportunities to make processes more efficient by streamlining efforts or implementing a solution. Ensures all projects and process improvement activities align with departmental and agency goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client partners, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
  • Delegate tasks on the project to appropriate resources and provide support for team
  • Make effective decisions by consulting with appropriate resources to reduce waste
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicate with executives to keep the project aligned with department and agency goals
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
  • Analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to streamline processes.
  • Lead and trains team through process improvement utilizing agency preferred methodologies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in business-related field or equivalent years of experience
  • 5 years of project management experience in health care setting
  • EHR experience preferred
  • Lean and PMP certified preferred
  • Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
