This role is responsible for managing and supporting data and analytics applications, serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to ensure they are up-to-date and effectively aligned with the organization's needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
4+ years of experience as an application administrator in an enterprise environment.
Experience with data-focused applications such as Tableau, Business Objects, or Infoburst.
Familiarity with database systems like MSSQL and Hadoop.
Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms like AWS.
General familiarity with office productivity tools (Windows OS, MS Office, Visio).
Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, or Workday.
Proven track record in administering vendor-provided applications.
Responsibilities
Serve as the owner and primary administrator for assigned application(s).
Provide system and application support to employees for assigned tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, escalating to the Systems team or vendor when necessary, and ensuring full resolution.
Design and configure applications to align with business requirements and integrate seamlessly with other systems.
Establish and implement best practices for application administration and security.
Monitor, evaluate, and optimize application performance.
Automate tasks and processes using scripts or other tools.
Implement solutions that meet specific customer or business needs.
Research and recommend 3rd-party applications to enhance functionality.
Configure, document, and support third-party applications.
Analyze incidents to determine root causes, collaborating with vendors for resolution.
Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and implement improvements.
Work with stakeholders to define and maintain measurable metrics, KPIs, and SLAs.
Oversee installation and validation of upgrades and patches provided by vendors.
Monitor license usage and budget for licensing costs, submitting procurement requests as needed.
Process change requests for application configuration updates.
Maintain an application roadmap and collaborate with leadership to set priorities.
Provide regular status updates and manage projects to enhance application functionality.
Develop and maintain comprehensive user documentation, including policies and procedures.
Drive user adoption by delivering training and promoting best practices.
Maintain vendor relationships to resolve issues and advocate for new functionality in future releases.
