Optomi, in partnership with a Fortune 500 financial services organization, is seeking an Agile Project Manager to lead high priority projects for Application Development programs. The Project Manager will be accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope. This individual will lead and coordinate cross-functional, cross-departmental, and occasionally cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure.
Responsibilities:
Drive projects from original concept through final implementation working with internal resources and external customers, including coordinating with other project managers and organizational entities to identify and monitor issues, impacts, and dependencies and building relationships with all functional areas and managing stakeholder expectations.
Defines scope and project objectives and develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and status reports to achieve objectives.
Create and maintain a project schedule for each project by identifying and monitoring: overall project timeline, project milestones, tasks, resources, ETAs, task dependencies, and critical paths.
Manage the change control process, including owning the process documentation related to the overall process flow for the Business Unit
Control and track project performance, time allocations, cost, and quality by constantly evaluating project progress and conducting regular team status meetings
Responds to occasional requests for additional off-hour work in the event of an emergency client incident or critical business need
Qualifications for Consideration:
5+ years of experience in a project management, implementations, or consulting role
5+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects
Ability to work close with Application Development Engineers and other technical resources.
Communicate status updates to stakeholders.
Previous professional Agile methodology experience.
Solid understanding of SAFe environment. Need to understand scrum and sprint processes and be able to speak to them.
Previous experience with Jira.
Project managing skills to start projects and finish projects successful.
Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
