Job Description:
Sr. Desktop Support - Immediate Long-Term Contract Opening - Irvine CARequired Skills:
- Advanced expertise in Windows 10/11:
- Troubleshoot using log files (e.g., BSOD, Event Viewer, performance issues)
- Use DISM commands for driver management and system cleanup
- Proficient with Windows PowerShell for adding/removing packages
- Assess Windows monthly patches for issues
- Create batch file installers and scripts with MSI command knowledge
- Test/validate custom OS images and software functionality
- Manage and maintain driver packages/versioning
- Test new HP hardware for compatibility
- Create documentation/runbooks
- Monitor and resolve low disk space issues
- Strong desktop support skills
- Effective interaction with tech teams and end users
Key Responsibilities:Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
- Analyze system logs (BSOD, Event Viewer) for issue resolution
- Use SCCM or similar tools to troubleshoot update failures
System Administration:
- Manage drivers with MDT or equivalent tools
- Execute DISM commands for system optimization
- Automate tasks via PowerShell scripting
- Deploy software packages using SCCM or Batchpatch
Patch Management and Security:
- Review security bulletins to evaluate monthly patches
- Develop and test MSI scripts for streamlined deployments
- Run PC health checks and clean up low disk space
Image Management and Testing:
- Maintain custom Windows images, ensuring compatibility
- Validate software and driver functionality
Driver Management:
- Oversee driver versioning and compatibility
- Test new HP hardware for deployment readiness
Documentation:- Create detailed documentation and runbooks for system maintenance
