Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Java Cloud Architect with a strong background in the banking domain to join our technology team. The Java Architect will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale, secure, and robust Java applications that align with our bank's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Java technologies in a financial services environment and a deep understanding of banking operations and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design and architecture of complex Java applications within the banking sector.
Analyze and evaluate business requirements to develop architectural blueprints that integrate with existing systems.
Provide technical leadership in all aspects of software development, including application design, coding standards, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that the architectural solutions meet technical and functional needs.
Mentor and guide development teams on Java best practices, design patterns, and frameworks.
Oversee the development of proof-of-concept models and assist with the technical roadmap for Java-based projects.
Ensure compliance with banking industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, SOX, and PCI DSS.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, libraries, and frameworks to improve the performance and maintainability of Java applications.
Manage risks associated with program implementation and product release.
Lead the resolution of technical issues that arise during the development lifecycle.
Document and maintain architectural frameworks and decisions for future reference and reuse.
Implement and manage Kafka messaging solutions to enhance data streaming and integration across applications.
Requirements:
You are:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience in Java/J2EE application development.
Strong experience in the banking domain with a good understanding of financial products and services.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in Spring Boot, Microservices, Core Java, and Kafka messaging.
Expertise in Java and J2EE technologies, microservices architecture, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and RESTful web services.
Knowledgeable in enterprise application integration, middleware, and messaging technologies.
Proficient in database design and SQL with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL.
Experienced with DevOps tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiar with Agile methodologies and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
