Overview:
The Cloud Infrastructure Administrator oversees the proper design, implementation, and operation of technology resources in order to maximize system availability and performance. This position will leverage technical background in provisioning, configuring, and supporting infrastructure services in the cloud. The Cloud Infrastructure Administrator also supports the DTS team through strategic planning, monitoring, project management and customer support.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for Day-to-Day Administration, Management, Monitoring, and System Lifecycle Management of AWS Full Stack of Infrastructure Solutions
Design, implement, test and troubleshoot Windows and Linux based server infrastructures and application systems
Monitors, diagnoses, and resolves complex problems and performs analysis in relation to cloud operations in the cloud environment. Monitor the environment for optimal performance, any issues, and optimizing cost and resources.
Work with other teams in the organization to provide expertise on AWS when needed
Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems
Performs cloud systems backup and recovery
Perform maintenance of cloud network and application security
Effectively creates and maintains relevant cloud systems documentation and user guides
Qualifications:
3-5+ years administration of Windows/Linux Servers, and network systems, building consistent, automated system and software installation packages for servers and workstations, Apache Web Server, and DNS
3+ years of experience with various virtualization technologies and multi-tenant, private and hybrid cloud environments.
Professional experience administering/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS (Amazon Web Services)
Ability to secure cloud applications and data against theft, loss, or other disasters
Thorough understanding of the following: Server administration concepts, networking and application concepts, troubleshooting and problem solving.
Experience in scripting (Python, BASH, PowerShell, etc.) and building required automation using standard technologies
Ability to lead and contribute to the development, maintenance, and usage of deployment and task automation (OS, database services, virtual networks, or other platform services)
Ability to work with third-party SaaS providers and third-party development partners on integration solutions
Must have knowledge/experience with the following AWS technologies: VPC, EC2, EBS, S3, Network (ENA, IGW, DXGW, TGW, DNS, etc.), ALB, IAM, Billing, Monitoring/CloudWatch, Automation/Cloud Formation, RDS, Organizations, API Gateway, Lambda, Control Tower
AWS SysOps Admin associate certification required or equivalent work experience (with expectation of certification within 12-18 months of employment)
Bachelor's degree in information systems/management or equivalent work experience, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and/or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) preferred
