Service Line Resource Tech



Shift: Night Shift- Sunday-Thursday 11pm-730am



Summary:


Are you a problem-solving professional with a passion for customer service and surgical supply coordination? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital as a Service Line Resource Technician. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our peri-operative services.



Responsibilities:



- Direct Support: Provide operational support to the Peri-Operative Nursing team and Service Line Coordinator Team.


- Efficient Inventory Management: Retrieve and deliver requested supplies to appropriate locations, ensuring accuracy in case cart contents.


- Team Player: Work within a matrix team environment, demonstrate initiative, and handle workloads effectively even under stressful conditions.


- Product Knowledge: Develop expertise in instruments, soft goods, and specialty supplies.


- Covering Roles: Assist Service Line Coordinators when needed and as directed by the Customer Service Manager.


- Package Integrity: Perform package integrity checks and maintain the integrity of sterile items during transport.


- Stock Management: Collect unused surgical supplies and return them to stock locations.


- Adaptability: Support and supplement the case pick process as operationally necessary.


- Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Skills & Competencies:



- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.


- Ability to understand and use medical terminology.


- Basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of EPIC and SPM are preferred.



Education:


High school diploma, GED, or equivalent



Experience:



- Preferred: Over 1 year of customer service experience


- Preferred: Over 1 year of experience in an OR/Sterile Processing Environment



Working Conditions:



- Rotating on-call requirements


- Involves walking and standing for extended periods; manual labor may be required.


- Exposure to the Operating Room environment.


- Strict dress code, including wearing surgical scrubs.


- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., stoop, bend, pull, and handle materials.
