For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $38 - $45 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and recognition programs.

The compensation rate for this position is for candidates located within the United States. Individual pay is determined by several factors including knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schneider Electric is looking for a PhD Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence Engineer Intern. This candidate will be joining our Process Automation team, based in one of our US locations. The role is open for immediate hire.

Role Details/Requirements:


  • The position is targeted for a 6-month assignment, delivering a very innovative AI solution.

  • A self-driven PhD student actively pursuing a degree in Machine Learning

  • Ideal candidate will have a strong background in Computer Science with strong mathematical skills and experience developing machine learning models.

  • We are looking for candidate that is specifically passionate and has an expert level of machine learning to develop a model based on reinforcement learning.

  • The project is not suitable for supervisory learning models, is mainly targeted to build upon reinforcement learning (RL) strategies.



What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Prior experience with the OpenAI Gym environment is a huge advantage

  • Good physics skills and experience from Process Automation industry will be a plus.
