Job Description Summary
Your primary responsibility will be to be involved with most aspects of the corporate tax function, including leading and managing the consolidated reporting of the Company's domestic and international tax accounting. You will assist the Chief Tax Officer in supporting the US tax function by ensuring continued compliance with US GAAP and US tax law. As a leader of the U.S. Tax group, you will also assist in identifying US opportunities that will maximize earnings and cash flow by minimizing the Company's effective tax rate and cash tax burden. Responsibilities:
Lead the process and team to prepare quarterly/annual global consolidated income tax provisions prepared under US GAAP and IAS 12;
Manage consolidation of tax matters for financial reporting purposes, setting/establishing global policies/procedures and resolve technical tax/accounting issues;
Determine and document uncertain tax positions and significant tax attributes of the Company;
Develop and maintain internal controls for the accounting for income taxes;
Implement process improvements to be used in the U.S. and global process;
Translate technical tax matters into non-technical terms for presentation to senior management;
Develop and manage cash tax and ETR forecasting and budgeting activities;
Develop a strong working relationship with the global controllership team and global tax team;
Lead and maintain an excellent professional relationship with the external auditors while effectively managing the financial statement audit;
Communicate and develop relationship with other functions as well as outside consultants;
Responsible for monitoring legislative and regulatory tax law developments and analyze/interpret changes to domestic tax laws and its impacts;
Identify, develop, and implement US tax planning opportunities;
Responsible for supporting US M&A due diligence and structuring;
Lead the timely and accurate preparation of the U.S. federal and state income tax and non-income tax compliance process
Effectively lead and mentor team of ten
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant tax accounting and comprehensive US GAAP experience;
Tax firm and corporate tax department experience is preferred
BS/BA in accounting or finance; MBA, MST, JD and/or LLM in Taxation is preferred
CPA
Strong knowledge of OneSource Provision software or aptitude to be trained;
Knowledge of U.S. corporation taxation in a global structure
Effective verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
