The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Dermatology has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Research Analyst 1 (A) to work in Miami, FL. The Research Analyst 1 (A) prepares data, conducts statistical analysis, and summarizes results for a variety of research projects.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Analyzes data and interprets research findings.
Identifies appropriate data sources to conduct and execute analyses.
Verifies accuracy and internal consistency of reports, including required state and federal reports.
Ensures proper technical documentation and preparation of tabular and written reports and gives oral presentations.
Completes surveys and reports, discipline-specific accreditation, and admission and grant proposals.
Provides feedback and assistance on honing conclusions and recommendations into actionable findings.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Department Specific Functions
Ensures compliance with all company policies and local regulations regarding financial operations.
Generates and sends invoices promptly to sponsors
Initiate Expense reports, Check requests for Research Faculty
Participates in pre-event and post-event meetings.
Coordinates billing reviews with group contacts whenever feasible.
Investigates and resolves Invoice inquiries and disputes
Review and Follow up on aging report for invoices past due
Assist with Journal entries
Create reports for financial tracking of accounts
Assists with various accounting office tasks.
Provides administrative support as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
Proficient in basic computer operations.
Experience with Velos, Workday, IBIS is advantageous.
Experience working with Pivot tables.
Proficient in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Strong reading and writing skills to facilitate effective communication.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Necessary experience with Excel, Pivot table
Basic computational skills are essential.
One to two years of experience in Accounting/Finance is required.
